A major focus for the ALAND Foundation is to provide safe, affordable, and sustainable housing solutions for individuals and families in need. The foundation actively engages in the development and support of affordable housing projects, collaborating closely with local governments, charities and government agencies to identify areas with urgent housing needs. Additionally, the ALAND Foundation works with social housing providers and welfare organisation to achieve its goal of providing a secure home for everyone in financial need or emotional distress.
The ALAND Foundation is committed to enhancing the educational opportunities and career prospects for the underprivileged, empowering individuals to reach their full employment potential. This involves establishing and supporting scholarship programs for TAFE NSW students, as well as contributing to the development of educational infrastructure, such as schools and libraries. The ALAND Foundation works closely with the Youth Off The Streets organisation which offers young people a second chance of education through its youth residential program in Redfern and a further six high schools across NSW. ALAND also supports the charity’s innovative Pathways to Construction program.
The ALAND Foundation’s focus on social welfare aims to address challenges and improve the overall wellbeing of communities, creating a sense of inclusivity and support. To achieve this the foundation partners with and provides support to existing social welfare organisations including Foodbank, Youth Off The Streets and Habitat for Humanity Australia, amplifying its collective impact. The ALAND Foundation also takes the initiative in implementing healthcare programs, with a specific emphasis on preventive care and community health education. Additionally, the Foundation launches initiatives targeting vulnerable populations, including women, children, indigenous people and the elderly, to contribute to their wellbeing and resilience.
