Over the past two decades ALAND has created new residential communities in many parts of Sydney. The ALAND Foundation has been established to extend the charitable work of the company by supporting individuals and families in need. Its efforts are focussed on three main welfare pillars: food, shelter and education. The ALAND Foundation aims is to bring about positive change in the lives of ordinary Australians, with lasting benefits for the whole community.
The ALAND Foundation is a registered DGR1 Status Charity in Australia. The Board consists of three directors who oversee and direct the strategic vision of the Foundation. Finally, a company secretary has been appointed to provide logistical support to the Board, ensuring that it complies with all of its regulatory requirements.
Having identified its goals, established a management structure and appointed a Board, The ALAND Foundation has chosen to partner with three organisations that possess the expertise, resources, and capability to deliver tangible results. To kick-start this effort, the Foundation is working closely with Habitat for Humanity Australia, Youth off the Streets and Foodbank – all three organisations have a dedicated team of volunteers and track record of success in their respective fields of operation. Each of these organisations has been chosen after careful research and detailed consultation. Their values and objectives closely align with those of the Foundation. As part of its partnership agreement, the Foundation will now provide financial assistance, pro bono support, and, when applicable, assets to support the important work of these organisations.
